Project Success

Project Success tutoring program is starting back up. If your student needs help with a subject area, specific assignment, or need time to get caught up on work, Project Success is the place for you.


It's open from 2:30-4:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday after school in room 844 (8 Silver area). This opportunity starts on Tuesday, February 23. Please have rides here no later than 4:00 PM. Rides should pick up in the 8th grade car rider lane by the 8 Silver stairs. Please see your Homeroom teacher or STAD if you have any questions.

HOORAY! The Catch-Up Corner is Back!

The Catch-Up Corner is back starting on February 8th. It runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Morning sessions run from 6:25 am to 7:25 am. Afternoon sessions begin after school until 3:30 pm. Students will be ASSIGNED Catch-Up Corner by a teacher if they didn't turn in their homework for the day. They can attend Catch-Up Corner THAT DAY or the next morning without a grade penalty. We all get busy and make mistakes, Catch-Up Corner is here to make sure all SLMS students have the opportunity to succeed.

SMART CLUB’S 3-MIDDLE SCHOOL VIRTUAL MEETING~ 3/3/21

Hey Falcons! Join us for our next, 3-Middle School Virtual SMART Club meeting!! Your Middle School SMART Clubs provide activities and information that promote staying drug, alcohol and tobacco free. Join us for fun, prizes and a super guest speaker on Wednesday, March 3rd, from 2:30-3:00PM. Our speaker, from the ThinkFirst program, will interact with us on the topic of personal safety. All LSR7 middle schoolers are welcome (you don't need to be a member), so this is a great way to meet new people and have fun at the same time!!!


Join us by either emailing Ms. Lange at, renee.lange@lsr7.net and she will send you the Google Meet code, or you can let your homeroom teacher know that you’re interested and he or she will forward your name to Ms. Lange, who will then send you the code.

SLMS PTA Needs You for the 2021-22 School Year!

We are looking for passionate volunteers to fill our Board and Committees for the upcoming school year. These positions help support the school and staff at various activities throughout the year. If you are interested or would like more information, please complete our interest form and we will contact you.


We also encourage you to follow the PTA Facebook page for the latest information including our upcoming restaurant fundraiser with Matthew's Catering on February 17th (please order ahead).


Our next meeting is March 9th, please consider joining us to meet current board members and learn more about the PTA.

LSW Athletic Booster Club

Are you an 8th grade parent of an athlete looking to get involved at the high school level? The Lee’s Summit West Athletic Booster Club is looking for volunteers to serve on our 2021-22 Board. We are seeking three – four individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our LSW student athletes. Board members are required to attend our monthly meetings, along with a willingness to carry out various responsibilities that are needed throughout the school year. Naviance Student Account

You can now easily access your students Naviance account from your PowerSchool Home screen. Naviance is what students use to complete career activities, including course planning before enrollment, ACT test prep, career and interest surveys, college searches, scholarship searches, and sending college transcripts. You will not have editing rights in Naviance, but you can look around at your child(ren)’s account. See instructions below for accessing and creating your account.
