Please help us spread the word!

With the lower than average snow and nicer temps outside, we have been able to use the field just right of our playground nearly every day! We have noticed more and more pet waste on the field which then makes it difficult for our students to have access. Please help spread the word, if you use the field, please pick up after your pets. Our staff and students thank you.

Registration for Stone Canyon Summer Camps is now open!

Hello Parents,

Registration for Stone Canyon Summer Camps is now open!

In summer 2021, Stone Canyon will offer both our Overnight Camps and Day Camps. Stone Canyon offers a wide variety of activities and our dedicated staff is committed to ensuring your camper will learn new skills, make new friends, and is safe while at camp. Our goal is to help our campers become more confident and daring individuals, all while having the best time of their lives!

While our programs may look a bit different to follow State COVID-19 guidelines, we aim to provide the same connection and adventure that make our summer camp special. In this email, we have highlighted important information and for more detailed information, please visit our website.

One Week of Day Camp is $425 per week.

To reserve your Day Camp spot, we ask for a deposit of $150

If Stone Canyon cannot provide programs due to COVID-19 or if your camper cannot attend camp due to COVID-19, you will receive a full refund minus $50 to cover our registration fees. We are asking parents only to pay the deposit at this time. This helps us greatly if an unfortunate circumstance comes about where we do have to administer many refunds at once. Parents are asked to wait to pay the full camp tuition until April 1. If you have any questions, please call us at Stone Canyon. We are happy to chat with you over the phone.

COVID- 19 Guidelines (*guidelines are subject to change based on updates from CDE and Tri-County Health). To read our detailed policy on COVID guidelines, please visit our website.

Increased Cleaning Procedures: Stone Canyon will disinfect and clean all equipment and common spaces before and after camper use.

Cohorts: While indoors, campers will be assigned to groups of 10. If campers are outdoors, group size can increase to 25. These groups will not mix with other groups during the week. To help with this, Stone Canyon will not be offering clubs this summer. Camper’s will have an opportunity to try all clubs with their assigned Cohort throughout the week. Camper’s will be assigned to groups by age.

Pre-screening: Staff and Campers will pre-screen using a written record one week before camp. When arriving at camp, all staff and campers will undergo an arrival day health screening.

Required negative COVID test: It will be required that all campers receive a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arrival day.

Social Distancing and Masks: Whenever possible, campers and staff will maintain a distance of 6 feet. If socially distancing is not possible, campers will be asked to put on a mask. Masks will be required indoors. The only exception is at night in their assigned cabin. Camper’s may remove their mask in their dorm but will continue to socially distance.

Register Today

We are limiting the number of open spots this summer. If the week you are interested in is full, we strongly encourage you to sign up your camper for our Waitlist. If guidelines loosen, then we will be able to open up additional spots this summer.

Become a DCSD Substitute Teacher

The Douglas County School District (DCSD) is building its pool of substitutes to help get all students back to hybrid and/or full in-person learning as soon as possible. The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) recently introduced the 2020-2021 Substitute Authorization program. This path requires applicants to hold only a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and a fingerprint-based history on file with CDE. This is ideal for college students and graduates, individuals between jobs or considering changing careers, and anyone interested in serving our community and our amazing students with a heart for serving and supporting children! To learn more visit the Substitute Program page of our website, apply online via the CDE’s website, or contact the DCSD Substitute Program Office at to get started!
