Our final field trip is Thursday of this week. We will be going to see the play of Roald Dahl's The BFG in Dallas. After reading this book to our classes, our students are very excited to see it come to life on stage! Your child needs to wear their gray Norton shirt and bring a sack lunch & drink.

We will continue to review the TEKS that we have learned this year by doing some fun end of the year activities.

Please make sure your child is continuing to practice their multiplication facts through 10x10. They must be memorized. There are many good and fun computer games and apps.

A few websites for practice at home are:

Multiplication for Kids

Addition & Multiplication Number Bubbles

Timed Test Arcade

Language Arts

In reading we will continue our end of the year book clubs. This is a great time to model what a book club looks like, encouraging meaningful discussions on a specific genre. We will be writing fractured fairy tales in writing, so the students will also have opportunities to read lots of different fractured fairy tales.

Social Studies / Science

The country projects were great last week! We found out so many interesting facts about Europe. This week we are wrapping up science with some fun STEM activities and learning about the properties of soil.
