Promoting a safe, responsible, and respectful digital zone!


This smore was created to be shared with all elementary school teachers at P.S. 112Q to become acquainted with teaching about digital citizenship. These are skills that are forever lasting. These tools will provide teachers with basic, but practical on introducing what is digital citizenship and how we can be safe, responsible, and respectable citizens of the digital world! There are different lessons and resources based on the varies grade levels from Kindergarten to 5th grade!

What is Digital Citizenship?

In the 21st century, digital citizenship skills are an important assets to all people, especially our students. We must teach our students to be safe, responsible, and respectful digital citizens.

It is of the utmost importance that our students learn how to access the internet and online resources in a manner that will be educational and useful for their learning. Unfortunately, there are resources out there that may not be appropriately suited for younger students, cyberbullying, and other harmful places. Students must be taught to react/act appropriately when something goes array online.

These resources target students in grades K-5 to help them become safe, responsible, and respectful digital citizens.
