ANNOUNCEMENTS for Week of May 27, 2019
PTA STAFF APPRECIATION BREAKFAST: This Friday is the a staff appreciation breakfast hosted by Kindergarten parents, Tracks 1 & 3.
This week is the last opportunity for your class to earn Class Gold for the Friday, May 31st drawing. The entire school has done an amazing job this year and it's exciting that EVERY SINGLE CLASS made it up on the Paw Compliments board out front! That means every class earned at least a Bronze medal!
Currently the following classes have earned Gold:

MEMORIAL DAY: School is closed on Monday, May 27, 2019. We hope that you enjoy Monday away from school and have time to enjoy a break from planning , grading, teaching, and supervision. We honor all of you and your past and present family members that have served or are serving in the military for our great nation. INFORMATION CONCERNING NEXT YEAR: Thank you for extending a warm welcome to Mrs. Kiley Brown, the new Principal. She was a delight to meet and we are proud of how you received her and of you all as a staff. Kiley will be on campus several days in May and June for us to meet with and share transitional information. We will let you know what we we learn so you can plan. If you have questions for Lara or Kevin or items that you want passed along to Kiley please email Lara and if an answer can be provided, Lara or Kevin will include it in the weekly announcements.
This past week our MTAC talked about next year's technology purchases this past Thursday (hardware, software, on-line programs--planbookedu.com, Smartboard software updates, Dreambox, Nearpod, Razkids, etc.) professional development (in house and with our assigned tech facilitators and current subscriptions. Ben and Sarah will be keep you posted on details and minutes from the meeting. Our Global Team also met regarding plans for next year (PD and activities). Please talk to your global rep or Heather if you have questions and input for next year.
EOGs: Thank you to everyone that helped with EOGs this week. Kayla organized it well and the students going to specials were extra quiet and well-mannered. Thank you for your cooperation! Round 2 is coming up! If you have suggestions on how to improve, please let us know.
Visit from Granville County Educators:
This Friday from 9:30-11:30 a group of educators from Granville County will visit PUE to find out more about our global initiative. Several of our staff, Heather and Kevin will speak with the group about how we got started and what we have learned and done over the first two years.

DUTIES FOR MAY 28-May 31, 2019 TRACK 2 OUT
AM Carpool: Fitzgerald BE SURE TO PUT CONES OUT NEAR THE ENTRANCE AND TO MOVE THEM AFTER CARPOOL. Also put two cones at the top of the carpool lane to prevent cars from going around other cars.
AM Breakfast: McEwen
AM Bus: Lavin (Write down arrival times of buses. Work with others to disembark students, trouble-shoot issues.)
PM Hallway: Schreier/(Barber from carpool if needed) (Check all students for tags in the bus line. If a student does not have a tag, inform Fricke and Ms. Britt ASAP.)
PM Carpool: Johnson/Basak (Outside) Blocker/Andrews/Perry/Biles (Inside) MAKE SURE CONES ARE NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO CARPOOL.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TWO PEOPLE ARE OUTSIDE AT ALL TIMES. If someone is absent, someone from inside should go outside to make sure things are covered.
Hopper (Call carpool numbers. Do not call a number if parents do not have a tag. Those parents should park and come into the building OR you can provide a tag. This includes all grade-levels.)
PM Bus: Daniels (Call one bus at a time. Write down arrival times. Work with Fricke to trouble-shoot, solve issues.)
**If someone is not available, staff members that are available may be called to assist.*
