Winter Fest Virtual Concert - MVHS Band and Orchestra classes
As we wrap-up the semester the band & orchestra students were increasingly more sad that they couldn't play music together or perform at concerts. So to fix that, we have been learning how to record, mix, and produce music to make it sound like we are all together again! The process is lengthy and has taken months to figure out parts, record, submit and edit. On my end I had to figure out how to get each individual track to go together to sound like we would live. It has taken nearly 70 hours total mixing music, and additional time to edit the video contributions that the students created to make them fit the final product. It was wild, but we all learned a LOT!
I wanted to give the students an opportunity to share what they have done with other people who aren't in their class and make it as concert-like as possible, so I we have decided to share it with the Mariner community. The students agreed that it would give them a good "End of Finals" wrap-up event to look forward to.
Please enjoy two virtual concerts by clicking the links below. You must be logged into your Sweetwater account in order to access the videos.
