NORTH POLE PARTY INFORMATION IN A NUTSHELL:

When: Friday, December 18, 2015

Who: All Second Grade Students, Teachers, and Families

Time: Lunch 11:30-12:00; Pizza and Dessert will be served

Early Release: 1:05 PM



  • We ask that EACH pizza eater in your family donate $2 each for pizza.
  • We will not be having a gift exchange.
  • If you are planning on attending, you can click on the RSVP form below to have your sign-in sticker waiting on you at the door on Friday.

Tuesday, December 15 - Reading Nine Weeks Test

Wednesday, December 16 - Math Nine Weeks Test

Friday, December 18 - North Pole Party = Early Release at 1:05 p.m.

Tuesday, January 5 - Students return to school!

Reading: reviewing what we've learned in the 2nd nine weeks

Word Study: December sight words

Math: finishing 3-D shapes; reviewing what we've learned in the 2nd nine weeks

Social Studies: 2nd grade traditions

Writer's Workshop: publishing and sharing our descriptive writing projects

WINTER BREAK CHALLENGE:

Keep the learning going during our winter break with this Winter Break Challenge! 2nd Graders who complete all 15 challenges, with your signature on the page to verify, will receive a special prize when they present the paper back to their teacher on January 5th.


A copy of the Challenge will come home on Thursday, December 17, but is attached here in case you need a copy.
