Shiloh Farms Scoop
Pool and Untoward Behavior
Inappropriate Behavior/Drug use on common property
1. The Board has received a significant number of complaints about underage drinking, apparent drug use, and possible drug distribution near the clubhouse.
2. Board Members have approached a number of teenagers over the last 12 months in response to complaints submitted, but it seems to be getting worse.
3. The Forsyth County Police are aware of this increase in activity and will be increasing patrols.
4. The Police have informed the Board that we should no longer approach these kids, rather we will just call the police and we are asking for you to do the same. This advice is directly from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s department.
5. We have seen an increase in vandalism and even had a neighbor's dog fall ill due to the ingestion of THC, which seems to have come from drug remnants left behind. We ask for your help in stopping the drug use and distribution.
a. If you see illicit behavior, call the police @ 911 OR (770)781-3087 (non emergency line)
b. The more calls they start to get the more they will pay attention to the issue.
6. We will be scheduling an officer to come speak to our community in the near future to help guide us through what else can be done.
7. To mitigate this, we have upgraded our surveillance cameras for the entire common area and will be turning over evidence to the police as it occurs.
8. If the security cameras catch vandalism or destruction of common property by your child, you will be charged for the repair.
9. Parents, please talk to your teens about being aware of their surroundings and being respectful of others using the pool. Loud music, vaping, cursing, and underage drinking are all unacceptable in common spaces.
