Love to Learn- Welcome Back Students
We are so happy to be returning to our in person schedule of AM/PM cohorts. The teachers have readied their classrooms and are excited to see the students in person. Students will stay in the same session as our first round of in person learning.
To show our CES spirit, let's wear any Chester gear or green and white on Monday, 1/25!
In returning to campus, we are following the Governor's California's Safe School Plan for All. The website can be found here- Safe Schools For All. Staff at all sites are being offered regular on site Covid Tests and vaccinations. Much research is now coming out, this one article is a quick and easy read. Here are some helpful points:
- What is the schedule? AM Session is 8:10-11:00 and PM Session is 12:10-3:00. Zoom check in on Fridays at 8:30.
- Teachers will be sending Monday folders home each week when in person rather than packets. Independent study students will still pick up work in front of school.
- Students arrive between 8:05-8:10 for the AM Session and 12:05-12:10 for the PM Session. All students enter through the front door except for Kindergarten.
- Send your student with a face covering everyday.
- Meals will be grab and go at the end of the AM session.
- Meal delivery or pick up is available for PM students allowing them to eat prior to arriving. (See schedule below)
- Water bottles are encouraged, our shared drinking fountains will not be in use.
- Be sure students are dressed appropriately for school.

- What happens if my child's teacher is sick? The school will contact you by 6 AM that day and your child will learn remotely until the teacher returns.
- Where do my children enter and exit? Grades 1-6 enter and exit through the front door and Kindergarten enters and exits at the kindergarten playground gate.
