Global Warming
How Bad Is It Getting?
Invasion of the...Jellyfish?
Yup, you read that right. Jellyfish are swarming for the Gulf of Mexico. It's been happening all summer and has been recorded to have reached 100 miles long! How incredible is that? But also, how dangerous? Scientist have been researching and have come to the conclusion that jellyfish are tight-packing it for the season. They've come to find a new home and it doesn't look like their going anywhere anytime soon.
Beautiful, Right?
Nope. These cuties may look soft and playful but their touch can be dangerous.
Adjacent
These jelly's aren't looking to go anywhere just yet, not after finding themselves a cozy new home.
There's No Escaping
These jelly's look like they love a good cuddle. It's just a bit too close for my liking...
Is It Getting Hot In Here, Or Is It Just Climate Change?
Records show that America's temperature has been rising constantly during the 2000's. In 2011, Texas had temperatures higher than 100 degrees for 40 days straight! Unbelievable! But the heat isn't the only thing we should be concerned about. The hot temps. may sting but the rain will bury! The lack of rain isn't forgotten, just added to the equation for drastic rainfalls that lead to devastating floods. The water just seems to be eating America up! Literally. Sea levels have risen 8 whole inches! People on the coast better look at. The water's coming.
Fact vs. Myth
Myth: Human produced CO2 has caused most of the earth's warming over the last 100 years.
Listen up, folks. It's true that CO2 levels have increased. However, the beginning of it started during the Industrial Revolution. That's right, all those power plants exporting pollution have caused the earth's surface to warm and poison the air we breathe. Though this is not the only reason. The CO2 levels change naturally after temperature drops and rises. So don't worry, taking another breath isn't going to destroy our planet!
Looks Like the Air Conditioner is Down
Global Warming and Climate change are inevitable. Not only does it happen naturally but with a planet full of apes, we sure can't be doing anything to help the earth stay in it's natural conditions. Average temperatures around the world have risen 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, the twentieth century's last two decades have been the hottest in 400 years. That reminds me...where's the Arctic ice? It's melted away into those dangerously high and warm waters. If things keep going the way they are, we'll have no ice to slip around on or any of those cute penguins to watch. Do me a favor, will you? Plant a tree.
Digging To Our Graves?
Stop those shovels and drills, boys. Those fossil fuels you're digging up are causing major damage. Those fuels are in the ground for a reason! When released, those oily things are not only fueling many of our machinery but also releasing some of that nasty CO2 into the atmosphere. Do us all a favor and take a walk. No need for all those fancy cars when you have two capable feet.
