GRE Staff Newsletter
For the week of December 9, 2019
Dear Team,
I hope you are enjoying our December fun! It sure gives me something exciting to look forward to each day. This week we'll enjoy cookies and cocoa, a holiday potluck, a major elf hunt, plaid attire (with jeans) and a good ole fashion photo booth! Sounds like a blast to me. Read below to make sure you have all the details.
Also this week we will get started on our Data Teams. To see the agenda, click here. We will look at each grade levels data during these data teams, because the students at GRE are all our students. We need to wrap our heads and hearts around all 537 students. Not only will we look at groups but we will also look at our progress on our building goal: that Tier I instruction meets the needs of at least 70% of our students. To be prepared for these meetings, come with your bubble kids in mind. We will also discuss what is working so far this year and where we need to go next. You will have time in the afternoon to work on Benchmark Letters, Grade Cards and Tier 1 work so bring anything you may need to the conference room. You will want to make sure that you have your Chromebook with you as well.
Here's to a great week!
Kate

3. Did you sign up for the Book Fair Preview? Sign up here to bring your class to preview the book fair on Thursday, December 12th. It will be housed in the cafeteria where we used to line up. That means that our line up on Wednesday (set up), Thursday, and Friday will be in the back hall. For Wednesday-Friday, please reverse our lunch room entrance. When you come to lunch, please walk around to the front of the building (lobby area) to where kids line up for lunch choices and enter the cafeteria from that side. When you pick up your students, they will be lined up by the art room ready to head out the same way. Think clockwise enter/exit-see me if you have questions.
4. On Tuesday we will have our December Staff Meeting. There will be a little work and a whole lot of fun! You can log on to Schoology to check out Chapter Three's notes and respond to the discussion question. We will take the first ten minutes of our staff meeting to complete this as well. Then...bring on the trivia! You and your team will be competing for some amazing prizes! We will also be having our breakfast potluck! Click here to sign up to bring a yummy breakfast dish!
