Building the future, one student at a time! 5/5/23
Math STAAR May 9th
Parents of 3rd and 4th Grade Students,
he Mathematics STAAR test will take place on May 9, 2023. We have been working hard and know our students are prepared to show what they have learned!
We want students to be fully prepared to do their best! We recommend a good night’s sleep the evening before and a healthy breakfast in the morning. It is important that your child be in attendance at school on this day and arrive no later than 7:30 AM.
Your student will have the duration of the school day to work on their STAAR test. Students will take a lunch break, and if needed, continue taking their test after lunch. We recommend students bring a water bottle and healthy snack or two with them to have during the testing session. Our campus is closed for lunch deliveries and lunch visitors on May 9th during all campus lunches.
If you have questions or concerns about our procedures on these assessment days feel free to contact the office at 972-429-2600 or your child’s teacher.
Calling all our WatchDOGS and MOD Squad teams!
Hope to see you here!

Wylie Police Department to Host Fentanyl Drug Forum
You may have seen stories in the news about the opiate drug fentanyl and overdose deaths that have impacted communities across our nation and even in surrounding communities. On Tuesday, May 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Collin College Wylie Conference Center (391 Country Club Rd., Wylie, TX), the Wylie Police Department is hosting a fentanyl drug forum featuring experts from WPD, Wylie Fire Rescue, Wylie ISD, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Collin County and more.
Parents and other adults are invited to attend and learn more about the drug and the resources available to help keep families and communities safe. No registration is required, and the event is not recommended for children under 11. For more details, see the event flyer here. If you cannot attend the forum, please visit our website to learn more about fentanyl and its dangers.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are starting our guidance lessons covering the Protect Yourself Rules. Over the next few weeks students will learn about Shout, Run, Tell when it comes to personal safety and Safe/Unsafe Touch. These lessons will be taught May 15-19. If we do not receive this form signed by May 12, your student will not be permitted to participate in the Protect Yourself Rules guidance lessons. Please return these to your child’s homeroom teacher.
Scan the QR code below to view the materials we will be using with our students. We encourage you to review this material and discuss the Protect Yourself Rules with your child.
