Library Resources
Please visit the library website to see the Symbaloo page for each grade level containing links to all of our resources and databases. Copies of the usernames and passwords have been sent home so please check your child's folder. Please contact the library if you have any questions or need additional information.
Typing.com
NISD has made a commitment to ensure that our students are future ready; our campus has received sets of twenty-five Chromebooks for all third, fourth, and fifth grade classrooms. In an effort to support the use of these technology devices in the classroom, we have created a typing.com account for all second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Typing.com is a free program that provides lessons and games to teach students proper typing skills. We encourage our students to use the program at home but ask that you monitor them to make sure they are using the proper keyboard hand position. To access their account, students should use the following login credentials.
Username: nisdtxID#

Please note there will not be a Read to Your Bunny during the month of March due to the Book Fair, Spring Break, and the bad weather make up day.
Kinder Computer Skills
Kindergarten visited the Makerspace to learn how to use the computer mouse. Students had to "click and drag" to complete a series of puzzles.
Third Grade Tinkercad
Third Graders learned about Tinkercad, a program that can be used to create a three-dimensional model. These models may then be uploaded for printing to the 3D printer. We are challenging our students to create a design that solves a problem, serves a purpose, or create a gift or an ornament; several outstanding designs will be selected for actual printing. Students who would like their design to be considered for printing should complete this form.
Fifth Grade Technology Team
Our fifth grade technology team members have been working on a variety of technology applications including snap circuits, stop motion animation, Raspberry Pi's, coding, Ozobot robots, and other programs. Meetings take place every other Thursday in the Makerspace.
