COLLIER ADULT EDUCATION
Tuesday, October 16, 2018
Message from the Leadership Team.
Also, please help me welcome the newest member of the adult education team Joanna Narcisse, Adult Education Guidance Secretary. Her interest and role help complete our team and create additional access for our students that we've been missing.
Finally, if your looking for a short authentic listening activity know that Scott Schnappauf puts together a great YouTube video every week in the Tuesday In The Know located below. This week he's highlighting workshops on financial assistance, Pharmacy Technology and Costumer Assistance Technology both programs starting in January. This video is a great way to to either start your class or end your class session. If the three and half minute video is too long, chuck in to pieces over your three days. Ask your students what they understood what questions they have and if this has any relevance to them. What do they see themselves doing with their English?
Tuesday In The Know
I invite you to spend some time with your students reviewing the information found in
Tuesday in the Know. This is an easy way to contextualize your lessons with information about Career Exploration & Planning, Jobs, Educational Opportunities, Financial Literacy, Health Literacy and so much more!
Students can be added to the distribution list by emailing schnapsc@collierschools.com !
Email schnapsc@collierschools.com if you:
- Have any questions or need assistance with the information shared!
- Want to discuss your career, your next steps and your future!
