We proudly and humbly serve the seniors in Horry County with freshly “Made from Scratch” meals prepared with love and brought right to the door by dedicated volunteer drivers that are ‘Delivering God’s Love ONE Meal at Time.’ This service is at NO CHARGE to our seniors and/or their families.

Our Senior Program Continues to GROW... and it's because of YOU!

The growing need in Horry County has continued to rise as we see an increase in families and individuals reaching out to us for assistance. On Christmas Day 2020, Meals on Wheels served 92 seniors and were actively delivering 12 routes a week. As of today, we currently have the honor of serving 156 clients, 24 active routes, and the number is rising weekly. Our incredible intake team which is ran by 3 amazing nurses walks each applicant through the process in a precise and thorough system which is enhancing our ability to serve more clients effectively and much sooner. The footprint of the county continues to spread with routes in Loris, Longs, and two routes in Murrells Inlet.


With any growth comes change. Change in processes, change in structure, and sometimes change of focus. As God continues to grow His ministry in Horry County through Meals on Wheels, we ask that you join us in prayer and support.


As we see our needs increase across the county, our primary mission is feeding seniors in need and sharing the love of Jesus every step of the way. Inevitably, more clients means more volunteers and more financial resources are needed. Meals on Wheels of Horry County has several new exciting ways for our community to get involved.

FREEDOM Missions and AGAPE || Combining to Fight Senior Isolation

FREEDOM Missions, a program of Meals on Wheels of Horry County, Inc. came alive during the summer of 2020 in the height of the pandemic. Focusing primarily on the lower income neighborhood families in our community needing meals, canned foods, and clothing/hygiene items.


We are excited to announce that after much prayer, counsel, and discussions FREEDOM Missions is taking a stronger attack on fighting senior isolation and those that desperately need our help.


Over the past 6 months the leadership team at Meals on Wheels has felt a tug in our heart to hold nothing back from helping the seniors. We have prayed and in unison know this is the direction that God is taking His ministry.


What does this look like moving forward? AGAPE and FREEDOM are now one! Be ready for enhanced AGAPE Night projects on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 6:30pm at the kitchen and also monthly AGAPE Special Deliveries to our clients. For many of our seniors, our visits are some of the only they receive during the week. For me personally, I just witnessed this first hand with my own Grandma. The joy they feel when they have someone standing there with them, just listening to them, holding their hand and praying, or simply just being still- fills their hearts and smiles light up their faces. The battles and roads they have walked are why we can enjoy the things we do today.

How can we pray for you?

Philippians 4:6 - "Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

We have a team designated to pray over your requests weekly. As a family, we all come together and pray corporately as one body. We would love to be able to join you in prayer.
