October is Antibullying Awareness Month

October is Antibullying Awareness Month: here is a quote for you to ponder:

“The key to community is acceptance, in fact the celebration of our individual and cultural differences. It is also the key to world peace.” That’s a quote by M Scott Peck, an American psychiatrist and best-selling author who wrote the book The Road Less Traveled.

And here’s a challenge for you:

Today, start a conversation with your friends, your teachers or your parents. What is your racial or ethnic history? How do you celebrate it? Discuss a culturally based tradition with a trusted adult or friend about your heritage. Try a food this weekend from a different country. It is fun to learn something new about ourselves, our history and each other.
