What was the purpose of the New Deal
The New Deal permanently change the role of American government in the economy. It changed the people's attitude toward government's responsibilities. This program changed how the government was, it made the government more active which made them participate in solving problems.
New Deal was a plan to try to bring the nation out of depression over a period of time. One of four workers were unemployed. They wanted to create more jobs for people that were unemployed.
