Welcome to Kindergarten!
Mrs. Curry's Class Website
Introduction
Welcome to Kindergarten, words cannot express how happy I am to be working with your child this school year! I am so excited that the school year is starting and I'm sure your child is just as excited. It's going to be a great school year!
Kindergarten, your child's first year of education, will be full of new beginnings, making new friends, and learning new things each day. Kindergarten is an important year in education, it is just the beginning of a lifetime of learning and we want to make it a great start! With your guidance and support at home, we will be able to give your child the best start to their education. Everything we do this school year will be new to your child, this is why your support is so important in making them feel like the confident learners they are.
I believe that communication is the key to your child's success and a strong parent/teacher partnership. If you find yourself with a concern or question at anytime throughout the school year please contact me. You can do so my emailing me, jcurry@Florence.k12.nj.us or by phone 609-499-4640 ext. 3103.
We are going to have an amazing school year together! Mrs. Muchowski and I are very excited to be your teachers!
About Mrs. Curry
My love for teaching began at a young age. I have had so many amazing teachers throughout my education who made the decision to become a teacher an easy one for me. I began to look up to these teachers more and more as I realized what it was they did everyday.
During my education at Wagner College I studied Elementary Education, Special Education, and English. I graduate with a B.A. in these concentrations and two teaching certifications. I also have my Early Childhood teaching certifiation from Monmouth University.
This is my third year teaching in the Florence Township School District but my first year in Kindergarten. My first two years here in Florence were spent in Preschool. I have been teaching for 6 years and my experience has been in various areas of special education, including Preschool up to 5th grade.
My husband and I have a handsome baby boy, who just started day care, his name is Philip. We have a sweet dog named Ava, and a silly kitten name Darcy. Our house is busy and full of love! As a family we enjoy camping, vacations, swimming, bike rides, and spending time together.
