Dear 5th & 6th Grade Parents,
You received a letter communicating that your child will be participating in health instruction in the coming weeks. Prior to instruction, we ask for parent/guardian consent from elementary parents/guardians.
Please complete and return Health Form by March 23, 2023, to your child’s homeroom teacher.

Conferences & Report Cards
Conferences:
You should have already signed up for a parent/teacher conference. If you missed the window, please reach out to your students' teacher.
Report Cards:
Report cards will be available for families to view in the Parent Portal on March 29th at 1:00 PM.
Please be aware that teachers may not report on all the report card descriptors in the second trimester. Descriptors not reported on will be gray or left blank. This is not a mistake. Students have either not yet had formal instruction on all the skills they will learn this year (math) or information on that indicator is incorporated into another indicator (reading). As always, our teachers are looking forward to celebrating your child’s progress at the upcoming conference.

Health Office Guidelines
The school nurse provides care to students who become ill or injured at school.
If a child has symptoms of illness present, the child should remain home in order that other children do not become infected.
As a rule of thumb, a child should be without a fever for 24 hours, without medication, before returning to school. Sick children should never be sent to school with the expectation that the school nurse can be called upon to diagnose a medical problem. If your child becomes sick at home or is injured at home or at a sporting event outside of school hours, please do not ask the child to come to the school nurse for treatment.
Please be mindful that if the student is ill and comes to school, the student could infect other students in the school. Also, your child could contract another illness because of a stressed immune system in addition to communicable diseases, Central Bucks reserves the right to exclude students for the following reasons:
Central Bucks also reserves the right to exclude children from school based on the following criteria:
- -Illness that prevents a student from participating in activities
- -Fever (100.4 or higher). Students may not return to school until free of fever without medication for 24 hours.
- -Diarrhea or vomiting during the previous 24 hours. Student may not return to school until appetite returns to normal.
- -Rash with a fever
- -Other conditions deemed appropriate after assessment by the school nurse
If a child has symptoms of illness present, the child should remain home in order that other children do not become infected.
Thank you!

Central Bucks Farmers Market
Important Farmer's Market Updates- Please Read
Our last open drive-up market will be Thursday, March 23rd. Beginning in April, our markets will require pre-registration and will be open to families with students in Central Bucks School District ONLY. Guests will no longer line up in their cars, rather, they will be required to park and walk down to the distribution area. We will be expanding our market hours to accommodate this change. We will be providing details on the registration process at our March markets and through market communications.
Important Attendance Information
Central Bucks School District attendance policies conform to the Pennsylvania School Code sections 1326 to 1333 dealing with compulsory school attendance.
“Every child of compulsory school age having a legal residence in this Commonwealth… is required to attend a day school in which the subjects and activities prescribed by the standards of the State Board of Education are taught.”
