Mrs. Spencer's Class - Week of 12/1

Our Week Ahead...

I hope that each of you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Our Stone Soup feast last week was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate friendship, our classroom community, and thankfulness. What a wonderful group of students! I am eager for a full week of learning to begin this week!

I wanted to remind you about Read Theory, a wonderful website for practice reading passages and answering questions online. The website is Both NWEA and MCA Reading assessments are online this year and students will have increasing assignments working with technology, so it is very important that students gain experience reading online. This website adjusts reading level based on performance on quizzes, so it is tailored to meet every child's needs. Your child received a log in card that is taped in his or her planner/home binder. In the event this information is misplaced, please email me for your child's log-in information. I hope to see many students utilizing this resource at home.

Please note: I will be out of the classroom next week (Week of 12/8-12/12). Please contact the office with any transportation changes or other questions throughout the week. There is a 2-hour early release on Wednesday, 12/10. If your child will have alternate transportation on this date, please notify me this week so I can make a note for the substitute teacher or contact the office during the week of 12/8. Thank you so much!
