February 14 - Red, Pink, and White Day
For Valentine's Day please have your student(s) join MCS staff in wearing any combination of red, pink, and white.
Mid-Winter Break Reminder
Mid-Winter Break will be Friday, February 17, and Monday, February 20.

Enrollment for Preschool, Young Fives, and Kindergarten
Enrollment began on Monday, January 30 for 3-year-old and 4-year-old preschool, young fives programs, and kindergarten. All enrollments are on a first-come basis. Our morning 4-year-old a.m. preschool class is now full.
Parents Enrolling in South Christian for the 2023/24 School Year
If you are an MCS parent enrolling your 8th grader into South Christian High School for the 2023/24 school year, you will receive an email with an Online Enrollment Form in early May. In order to officially enroll your student, just complete that form and submit it.
Coaching Opportunities for MCS
We are in need of additional coaches for our middle school spring sports. These are paid positions.
1. Track Coach: We are in need of a second track coach. The season begins after spring break and finishes around May 23. The team will participate in three track meets plus a conference meet. All track meets are currently planned to be in May. The track team consists of boys and girls in 6th through 8th grades.
2. Boy's Baseball Coach: The games begin the week after spring break and end by May 12. Boys in 7th and 8th grade are able to participate in baseball all on one team.
If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Mr. Witte as soon as possible at kyle.witte@molinechrsch.org or by calling the school office.
South Christian Educational Support Services Night
SCHS will be hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. in room 212. They will be discussing all educational support services provided as well as answer questions. Please RSVP to Sally Brown by Monday, February 20 at sbrown@schs.org.
Yearbook Pictures Needed
If you have pictures from the boys or girls basketball games or any playground pictures from recess, please email them to diane.berkompas@molinechrsch.org. Thank you in advance!!

T.R.I.P. (Raise Right) Information
Orders for T.R.I.P. (Raise Right)
All orders will be processed most Tuesdays that we are in session, and should be ready around 1 p.m. on Thursday. If we have an unscheduled day off on a Tuesday, such as a snow day, etc., orders will not be processed. If we have a short school week, it is sometimes not possible to process and get T.R.I.P. orders ready in time before school ends for the week. Please check the calendar for any Tuesdays that this might happen. Any such dates will be noted in the Home Bulletin.
Instant Purchases
Instant T.R.I.P. (Raise Right) is available again on a weekly basis. Items available will be: Marathon, Culver's, 5 Lakes, Maria's, Meijer, and Leppinks Food Centers. Instant T.R.I.P. is available as follows: All day on Thursday, and also from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Friday mornings, while supplies last.

New Life Weekly Opportunity
The New Life Thrift Store is looking to fill a volunteer position one day a week in their seasonal processing department. This person is responsible for collecting, cleaning, organizing, and preparing holiday and special day items that are donated to the store.
We are very flexible on the day of the week and time of day. Please consider volunteering to serve our Christian schools. It is a fun place to serve! If you have any questions, please call the store at 534-7134 and ask for either Betsy or Rachelle.
Part-Time Job Opportunity-DeHaan Tile & Flooring
Showroom Design - Part Time
DeHaan Tile & Floor Covering has an exciting opportunity for you to work as a showroom design consultant. We are looking for a candidate who is hardworking, motivated, personable, an effective communicator with excellent customer service and sales skills. We are looking for someone who can actively listen to customers and understand their needs and present products that are consistent with customer needs and preferences. The design consultant will be responsible for the appearance of the showroom and its displays as well as answering phones, waiting on customer, etc. Experience in a sales environment strongly preferred but not required. Good oral and written communication skills are a must. A high level of professionalism; basic math, computer and office skills are required. Design experience preferred but not mandatory.

SCHS Drama to Present Willy Wonka
“Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination. Take a look and you'll see into your imagination.” Willy Wonka, Charlie, the Oompa Loompas, and the rest of the cast invite you to this interactive, fun-filled trip to the chocolate factory where anything can and does happen. Grab your golden ticket and bring the whole family to lose yourselves in the world of imagination on March 2, 3, and 4 at 7:00 p.m. and a matinee 2:00 p.m. show on March 4 at South Christian High School (7979 Kalamazoo Ave, Byron Center) Note: More information regarding tickets will be coming in February on our social media pages and schs.org.
SCHS Hockey Survey
The athletic director at South Christian, David Kool, would like any future families interested in hockey at SCHS to please fill out the survey linked here. This survey is for students 2nd grade and up.
Boys Summer Basketball Camp
Matt Veltema (Legacy Christian teacher and Boys Varsity coach at Calvin Christian) will be running a boys basketball camp this summer! The camp is split up into 4th through 6th grade (9-11a.m.), 7th and 8th grade (11-1p.m.), and 9th and 10th grade (1-3 p.m.). This camp will be the week of June 5 - 8. The purpose of this camp is to teach and practice the fundamentals of basketball for successful individual and team play while also demonstrating the values of Loving, Learning, and Serving. The camp will combine station drills, games, team contests, competitions, and individual instruction. A camp t-shirt will be included. Camps are open to the first 48 players who sign up for each individual camp.

Hot Lunch Information
Scott Larson or Cindy Mathis at: mathisc@waylandunion.org may be reached for questions regarding hot lunch.
The price for hot lunch is $2.85 per student this year.
PARENT LUNCH PORTAL INFORMATION
In order to access your student(s) lunch money balance and add funds, you will need to have an account with Wayland Schools Parent Portal (Infinite Campus). If you previously had a Parent Portal account and it has been disabled, you will need to regain access by sending an email to the Technology Department at Wayland. Their email is HelpDesk@waylandunion.org. If you do not have an account set up, you may set one up on the Technology Departments Website linked here.
PARENT REMINDERS: If your address and/or phone number changes, please:
- Log on to your FACTS account and change as follows: Family Information in column 1, Family Demographic Form in column 2, click on your name in custodial parents and change. Make sure you save your changes.
- Call or email the office and inform us of any change. (We are not made aware of any changes without your email or phone call.) Thank you!
