United Way Shoebox Project
The 2nd grade Target class is working on a service-learning project. They are participating in the Shoebox Project for the United Way. The project serves homeless women and children in our community. Specific information about the project can be found here: http://www.unitedwayatlanta.org/help-the-cause/2015-shoebox-project/.
To participate in the project, families just need to find one or more empty shoebox(es), wrap or decorate the box(es), and fill the box(es) with suggested items (see the United Way website link above or the attached flyer).
The boxes can be returned to school any day on or before April 24th and will be delivered to the United Way by Mrs. Murphy. There will be a table setup in the lobby area at the front of the school to collect the filled boxes.
Together, we can make a big impact in the community! The 2nd grade Target class is looking forward to seeing BIG participation in this project, and thanks you for your support!
