New Calendar Resources
Region 12 created state assessment and college readiness assessment calendars that you can subscribe to. The calendars give you the ability to add them to your work calendar as well as opt to receive reminder emails and/or texts for upcoming dates https://www.esc12.net/page/AccCalendar

STAAR Interim
- New item types will be included on all STAAR Interim assessments, except constructed responses.
- Student registration: August 22nd - April 7th
- Window 1 (RLA and Math): November 7th - December 16th
- Window 2 (Science and Social Studies): November 7th - April 14th
- Window 3 (RLA and Math): January 10th - April 14th

New Overlay Tool
The graphing tool in the Test Delivery System (TDS) has been updated to include a draw functionality. The tool has been renamed Graph/Draw and is available for mathematics, science, and social studies tests. Reading language arts tests do not have this tool, as there are notepad and sticky notes tools available. The Graph/Draw tool allows students to plot points and lines and includes free-form draw functionality with multiple colors.

Texas Formative Assessment Resource
- This click sheet is to help with turning on accommodations in TIDE for TFAR.
- TEA has said it might take 24 hours from the time assessments are published to become available in the TDS.
- There are some content specific TFAR trainings that are coming to ESC 17 in the Spring! Be on the lookout for this information.

Planning Ahead - Document Retention
STAAR
The following materials should be retained locally for a period of five years
● STAAR Materials Control Form
● Seating charts with start and stop times
● Shipping notices
● Signed oaths (GENERAL)
STAAR ALT 2
● Districts are required to maintain shipping records for five years.
● Signed oaths (GENERAL) for five years
● Districts are to follow their own materials retention policy for maintaining records for STAAR Alternate 2.
TELPAS
● Student rating roster will be kept on file for one year
● Student writing collections for grades 2–12, including TELPAS Writing Collection Cover Sheet and Verification Checklist be kept in the student's’ permanent record files for two years from the time of rating
● Signed oaths (GENERAL) for five years
● Districts are required to maintain shipping records for five years.
TELPAS ALT
● Oath (GENERAL) will be kept on file for at least five years
● Completed Observable Behaviors Inventories will be kept in the students’ permanent record files for two years from the time of completion.
● Districts are required to maintain shipping records for five years.
