Greetings from the Principal
Dear Riverview families,
Welcome back from the long weekend! I hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity last week to have in-depth conversations during conferences, with the shared goal of student progress and success at the forefront of these discussions.
September is National Preparedness Month for families, communities, and schools. While our main focus at school is centered around providing a high-quality education for students, we also take very seriously the responsibility to ensure safety for our students. Please take a moment to think of your family's emergency planning, such as developing a communication plan. One step may be to ensure that you are able to receive emergency alerts and warnings, and another is to determine emergency meetings places in your neighborhood and/or public places. More information on emergency planning can be found at Ready.gov.
If you would like to receive the most up-to-date information from the school district, the district invites all interested parents and staff to sign up for schoolNEWS ALERTS!, a free emergency alert service which will be used to notify staff and parents in the event of an emergency, school closings, early dismissals, and administrative reminders. To sign up, just complete an easy, two-step process and select the school(s) from which you wish to receive notification: http://tinyurl.com/a9eofjw
Make it a great week!
