Coalition & Community Updates
- The first Tri-County Life Savers (suicide prevention) Coalition convened on 10-27. Eaton County had great representation from several sectors.
- Mini parent presentations were provided at Charlotte High School during parent-teacher conferences on Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Barry-Eaton District Health Department promoted their resource packets at the event.
- The first Eaton County Families Against Narcotics met on November 2nd. There was a great turn-out of both community partners and families who have been impacted by opioids.
- The Frontline Worker Committee met for the first time this fiscal year to kick off planning activities for the year. More updates to come as they are available.
- The Choices Program has been HOPPING! They have had enough referrals to run two consecutive cohorts, starting November 21.
- Tobacco Free Michigan hosted one of three coalition meetings on Thursday, October 19th. The next meeting will be in a webinar format. Information will be shared when available.
- The Sub-Regional (Southern Counties) ROSC Workgroup met on 10-31. It was a rowdy meeting with lots of great conversation about the direction of ROSC, funding for integrated care, and addressing system gaps that could support recovery if filled.
- The MSHN Oversight Policy Board met on October 18th. All PA2 funding request for Eaton County were approved.
