SATS Week.

Don’t forget that it is KS2 test week next week. Please make sure that all children are in school every day and arrive on time so that there is minimal disruption for our Year 6 pupils. We know that they are extremely talented and will do themselves proud in the tests, and we all want to give them every chance of succeeding.

Pyjamarama Friday 13th May.

Pyjamarama is back for 2022!

On Friday 13th May, we are inviting all children and staff to spend the day in their pyjamas. We will be reading and sharing stories whilst raising money for BookTrust. Pyjamarama is a fantastic cause to raise vital funds to help every child get a bedtime story. Please make any donations on the day via Parent Pay. Thank you!

More information about the cause can be found here:

Young Voices

Next Friday, the children in Year 5 will take part in the Young Voices event in Sheffield. They will be part of the world’s biggest choir, bringing 3,500 children together in the arena to sing together, accompanied by a live band. We are all very excited about being part of this event.

Uniform Donations

PTA would like to hold a second hand uniform stall on Sports Day. If you have any uniform you can donate please drop it at the office as soon as possible to enable us to sort it ready for the day. Thank you.

Save the Date Friday 3rd June - Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Monk Fryston School have been invited to join in the Monk Fryston and Hillam Platinum Jubilee celebrations during the day on Friday 3rd June - this is one of the Jubilee Bank Holidays on the half term holiday. School children can take part in a parade through the villages followed by a picnic (packed lunch) on the school field. This will be provided by Monk Fryston Parish Council. We hope you and your family can save the date for what will be a fun-filled, historic village and school event.
