May 2018
Wow! It's hard to believe we've come to our last newsletter of the school year! It really seems that this year has just flown by! We would like to thank all of you for a wonderful year. Thank you for all of your help and support in the Learning Commons. We look forward to another amazing year starting in August.
May was a very exciting time with lots going on in the Learning Commons.

Little Free Library
We are thrilled with the arrival of a Little Free Library at our school. Donated in memory of Brooklyn and Geneva Gull. The Little Free Library project was done in partnership with River Valley Resources. Thanks to our Derek Herrick's MCHS Intro to Construction class for building the structure, and Amy Vaugh MCHS Art who had students design and paint the structure.
The main idea behind the library is to take a book and leave a book that you no longer want in its place. It looks wonderful!
Summer Reading Kickoff!
Have a great summer!
About Us
Our goals are to:
- Get students excited about the library space and learning.
- Give students opportunities to work on engaging tasks.
- Provide spaces to work collaboratively, think critically and creatively.
Also, to transition to a place where students DO stuff, not simply a place where students GET stuff.
