April 2023

CG Families,

We are quickly winding down our school year. Our upcoming May Culture Fest is fast approaching. We have such a wonderful community with so many cultures to showcase. We cannot do it without your help. Please consider contributing to the event! Check out the details below.

Also, the STAAR tests are coming up this month and we will have a closed campus on these days. Please schedule any appointments around these days so that your student does not miss and have to make up tests on a different day.

Culture Fest Coming!

We are happy to announce that we will have our first annual Culture Fest on May 12 from 6-8 pm at Cypress Grove. We cannot put this fest on without the help of our families. We want to showcase all cultures that come together to create the amazing environment at CG. We would love to have every one of our cultures showcased at our festival. We encourage you to become a part of the festival in one way or another.

Please fill out this short form if your family would like to have a table to showcase items, food samples, or a cultural activity that others can participate in this night. We cannot do this without you, so reach out to if you have questions and we can guide you in participating.

We are also looking for business participation. If you own a business, especially involving food, we encourage you to become a part of the festival in one way or another to showcase your business. We will advertise your business on our marquee as well as give you your own table to set up at the event. What a wonderful way for you to not only give back to the school community but also let everyone know who you are! Please fill out the short form below if you would like more information and to showcase yourself at our event.

Panorama Survey for Families

Dear CSISD Parents/Guardians,

College Station ISD is conducting its annual comprehensive online survey with our families, students, and staff.

Survey feedback is a helpful way to learn about how we are doing in a variety of important areas. The results of these surveys will help us develop and monitor district goals and provide feedback about what we are doing well and areas where we can improve.

The survey is open between Tuesday, March 21 and Friday March 31. The survey is open to all CSISD families, staff, and students in grades 3-12. Students will have the opportunity to complete the survey during the school day. Families are welcome to preview the student survey here:

The family survey may be accessed on any internet-connected device, and it will take about 10 minutes to complete. We ask that you complete a survey for each student you have enrolled in CSISD. Each survey must be completed in a single sitting and will not auto-save.

Please follow the following steps to participate:

  1. Navigate to the survey link:

  2. Select your school name from the drop down menu

  3. Start survey & select preferred language from drop down menu (top left)

  4. Make sure to hit “Submit” upon completion of the survey

  5. Click “Take another survey” to complete an additional survey for your other student(s) if applicable

Please contact or (979) 764-5415 with questions or to receive assistance in accessing the survey.

Relay For Life

Do you have a loved one who is currently battling cancer or who lost their fight with cancer? If so, you can purchase a luminaria in memory or in honor of that special someone.

You can purchase ONE luminaria bag for $5. We will send the bags home and you and your family can decorate them. Return the decorated bags and we will display them around the track during our Relay for Life walk on Saturday, April 15th.

Join us at Lake Walk in Bryan on Saturday, April 15th from 4:00-9:00PM. There will be activities for the kids. The luminaria walk will be start at 8:00. This is a time you don't want to miss. It’s a great way to show your support for those who battle cancer.

Click here to access the order form to purchase luminaria bags and/or support our Relay for Life team and efforts to help.

Reminder of Drop Off/Pick Up

Your student's safety is our main concern. Thank you for following our drop off and pick up directions to help us maintain safety at these busy times.

We have had several parents parking in our staff parking lot, driving through the loop, or parking up front to drop off and/or pick up your student before and after school. These are not places that we have designated as drop off and pick up locations. Please refer to the map below.

You can drive through the drop off/pick up car loop or have your child walk off campus to you in order to pick them up, but our parking lot and up front are not options as we have buses pull through the lot and front loops and do not want your child crossing in front of them as they are dropped off and/or picked up for safety purposes.

From the Nurse

To: Parents/Guardians of students entering 7th grade

From: Kaleigh Mies, RN, Cypress Grove School Nurse

The States of Texas requires the following immunizations for all students entering 7th grade:

· One dose of Meningococcal vaccine

· One booster of the Tdap vaccine

All district middle schools must have proof of required 7th grade immunizations in order for students to pick up their schedules or begin school in August. You are receiving this letter now in order to provide you with ample time to have your child immunized and provide proof of immunizations to your child’s school nurse. If your child has already received these immunizations, please provide a copy of their shot record to the school nurse at their current school.

Message from PTO

Dear Cypress Grove Staff, Faculty and Parents,

I am writing to share that our Cypress Grove PTO has a new Facebook page and we invite you all to visit this page and like it for important information and updates about fundraisers and events happening at Cypress Grove.

You can find the page here: @CypressGroveIntermediatePTO.

We’ve had some challenges with the old page that made it difficult for us to continue using it long term. Please use this new page for all of your PTO informational needs.

As always, thank you for all that you do to support our students, faculty and school through the PTO. We appreciate it!
