Principal Message

Dear Lyn Knoll Families,

We are excited to begin Remote Learning tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31. Remote learning will begin each day with a class meeting with your child's teacher via Google Classroom. The time of this meeting will be the same every day. After the daily class meeting, students will have a variety of tasks to complete via Google Classroom. These activities can be completed at your child's own pace throughout the day. Additionally, your child's teacher will have daily office hours. These office hours are a dedicated time that teachers are available to answer questions from you and your child. Please see the table below for a list of times for daily connection and office hours for each teacher.

As we continue Remote Learning in the coming weeks, our teachers will increase the rigor and expectations for students. We hope that within the next couple of weeks, all students will begin to experience the same level of instruction that they would have received during the traditional school day through our Remote Learning experience.

We realize this is a new type of learning for our students. But it is a new experience for our teachers, as well. So we ask that you are patient as our teachers learn best how to support students during this difficult time. If you are unable to connect with your child’s teacher or have a questions regarding technology, please leave a message on our school voice mail at 303-364-8455. Someone will contact you as soon as possible to address your question or concern.

Our goal is to continue to provide our students with academic and social/emotional support through during this unprecedented time. We appreciate all your support! Thank you for your patience and thank you for being a member of the Lyn Knoll family!

Clever Badge Log On

Dear Parents and Guardians of APS Students in Grades K-5,

To make it easy for K-5 students to sign in to the APS Clever portal, our Information Technology Department is providing parents with a "Clever Badge" image (attached to this email). This image can be used to assist students with signing in to Clever instead of using their Google emails and passwords.

Please watch this video that illustrates the process. Below are written instructions:
1. Take a picture of the image with a mobile device or print the image.
2. Visit clever.aurorak12.org on your laptop or Chromebook.
3. Click the blue "Clever Badge log in" button on the right.
4. Your browser may ask you to enable the camera setting. Please do so.
5. Hold the picture of the image up to your laptop or Chromebook’s camera until a green check mark appears.
6. It will then automatically log you into the Clever portal.
7. You can print the image for your students to use to sign in on their own.

For additional guidance and for more information about APS remote learning, please visit our Remote Learning Resources website and click the sun icon labeled “Parents.” If you need technical support, please click the "Need Technical Support?" link at the bottom of the website to send an email to the APS Help Desk. You can also reach the Help Desk by leaving a message at 303-340-0520, ext. 28203.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Sincerely,

Aurora Public Schools

Popcornopolis Fundraiser

We have made the difficult decision to cancel our Popcornopolis Fundraiser. We feel it is in the best interest of our families. All of the money that you have collected for orders must be returned to those that paid for their orders. Keep in mind our order to stay at home, and extreme social distancing precautions.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

Lyn Knoll will work hard to reschedule the Popcornopolis Fundraiser for early 2020-2021.

PCs for Kids

The PC for Kids program has tentatively rescheduled their computer distribution day to May 7. As more information becomes available, we will share it with you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
