Schnecksville Elementary School created a Jingle for Giraffe fundraiser to support the Lehigh Valley Zoo. The 5th grade class worked hard to encourage the entire school to bring in loose change and purchase Lehigh Valley zoo buttons and Giraffe zipper pulls to help them meet their goal line on their Giraffe bank to turn Principal Dopera into a Giraffe for a day. Schnecksville Elementary raised $1001.73 to help bring the giraffes to the Lehigh Valley Zoo. Mrs Dopera honored her promise to dress like a giraffe and did so on Tue May 24 when the check was presented to Doreen Carl from the zoo.
The students who make up the Parkland News Network at PHS created 24 films and videos and collected nearly 40 separate trophies, including Parkland's first EMMY this school year. The newest edition of PNN Presents is all about them, their dedication to the craft, and the future of the new PNN films program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUdTE01jD14
The PNN Midday News Crew was in charge of producing the latest edition of Pride of Parkland. Each story was an opportunity for students in the class to write, produce, direct, film and edit an original story showcasing something Parkland is proud of.
From Titanic to FOTA, a Senior Citizen tea party where wisdom flowed to our PALS club, guest speaker Clifton Crosby and so many more stories- it's easy to see why we are Parkland Proud! Enjoy the show at:
