GRATITUDE
SEL LESSON and ACTIVITIES
GRATITUDE: the quality of being thankful: readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
If you're anything like me, you probably started missing things like hanging out with friends, going to your activities, being at school with your teacher and classmates. I miss simply going out to eat and not having to cook - and I miss you guys too! It's pretty easy to think about all the things we're giving up while we are at home practicing social distancing, but it's super important to take time everyday to think about what we do have and be thankful for those things. In fact, having to be at home may actually give us opportunities that we don't usually get to have, like staying home with a parent for an extended time or playing with brothers and sisters when maybe life before was busy running to activities. Try to spend some time everyday reflecting on what you are grateful for. Today I am very grateful for technology! It helps me stay connected to all of you and to family members who were not able to come home during this time. Focus on the good in life!
