What is Lymphangioleiomyomatosis

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis is a lymphatic disorder that is commonly known as (lam). This smooth muscle Lymphatic disorder affects the lungs, kidneys, and lymphatic system in the body. Mostly found in women (lam) is usually caused by an inherited syndrome called tuberous sclerosis complex. Their is no known prevention of this disorder because it is genetically inherited Through you're genes. This can be a dangerous thing to live with your entire life it can cause you to a multiple lung and kidney failures during you're life unless you get a transplant. But even after getting the transplant (lam) can still be in you're body and travel through tissues and create tumors inside you're body.

Treatment Plan

Their is no know medication for (lam) as we know of that works. Common treatments are available like vaccine for upper respiratory infections, Osteoporosis, and lung transplants. Researchers are trying new experimental drug therapy to see if their is a result to it. You're nutritional plan should consist of not eating or drinking things that would more likely cause lung or kidney failure. Women who develope this lymphatic disorder have an life expectancy of a few decades or less unless something is done to prevent it.
