St. Jude School

October 5th, 2018

From the Principal

Our students had a great week! 5th graders attend Mohican Science Camp, 8th grade visited our nation's capital, Washington DC, Kindergarten through 2nd grade enjoyed Grandfriend's Day with a special Mass, and Mrs. Schiller wrapped up the Fall Book Fair. The coming week looks to be exciting as well with the PTO Halloween Dance next Friday and the parish 75th Anniversary Celebration is next Saturday. Plus, we have no school on Friday, October 12 and Monday, October 15th. Finally, interims did go out this week, marking the half way point of the first quarter. These signed interims should be returned, Tuesday, October 9th. Time sure flies when you're having this much fun! Enjoy the weekend.

Many blessing,

Mrs. Molly Hibler.

Marco Pizza Lunch Shout Out

Wednesday, PTO had their first Marco pizza lunch. A very special thanks to Mrs. BeVier, Mrs. Malanowski, Mr. & Mrs. Parobek, Mrs. Schmitz, and Mrs. Ornella for all your work to make this successful.

Mrs. Smith is looking for old tee shirts

Looking to clean out your closet? Mrs. Smith's 8th-grade art class is collecting donations of unwanted t-shirts to use for an upcoming art project. For this specific project, we would prefer bright colored t-shirts (avoiding neutrals like white, gray, black), or we are collecting any bright fabric as well. Please send any t-shirts or fabric you'd like to donate to this project into the Art Room, attention Mrs. Smith. Thank you for your help with this!

Join the Celebration

Save the Date: Saturday, October 20th Bishop Perez will celebrate 4:30 Mass to honor our 75th Anniversary. Open House will immediately follow in the school. We are looking for volunteers to help with this event. If you'd like to share your gifts and talents, click the link below to sign up https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044dafaa2aabfe3-75th

Back by popular demand: The Celebrating Sunday for Catholic Families books will be available after all Masses the next few weeks on a first come, first serve basis.
