Viera Moe's Night to End PKD
August 22nd, 5pm - 8pm
Come to the Viera Moe's for dinner and support a cure for PKD with Mary Burras Donboch and JD Donboch! 10% of the proceeds will go directly to fund the PKD Foundation and if we reach $1500 in revenue for the night they will donate 15% of the proceeds!!! Make sure to mention Emslie's Fight or the PKD Foundation. Mary and JD will be there busing tables to remind you!
Mary's training hard for the November Rock n' Roll Half Marathon in Savannah, GA. This event is part of Mary's half marathon fund raising for team Emslie's Fight. Emslie Donboch is our niece and her name literally means "a Gift from God". She was a gorgeous, courageous and strong willed brunette- just like her mother...and she was born with ARPKD. On December 17, 2011 Emslie passed her fight on to us- and we won't stop until we win!
Polycystic kidney disease is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting more people than Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and sickle cell anemia - COMBINED. Every 66 minutes someone is born with PKD. In the months since Emslie's challenged us to WIN this fight, we have met countless people from all walks of life and of all ages who battle PKD everyday. PKD does not discriminate. Currently there is NO TREATMENT and NO CUREā¦ But there is HOPE!
Stop by if you can! If you can't make the event, please consider donating directly with the link below. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
