Media Center Open 7:30-3:30

Welcome Back!!

Welcome back everyone! Hope the summer gave you the opportunity to relax with a good book!! If not, the Media Center can help you relax with a good book this fall!

You can check out up to 3 books for 2 weeks. Please remember to return your books. There are so many lost books which means those books aren’t on the shelves and cannot be checked out for others to enjoy. If you have an overdue book, you will not be able to check out a new book until the overdue book is returned or paid. This leaves you at a huge disadvantage in reading some great material we offer in the Media Center. Please take responsibility for what you take out!

There is an abundance of new books on display waiting to be checked out to a good student:) Hope to see you soon!!

Each year books are being challenged in school libraries as well as public libraries throughout the United States of America. They are being challenged for many reasons including racism, explicit language, violence, religious beliefs, etc. There have been some very well known books that you may have read that have been challenged or even banned completely. Here are a few of the many that were banned/challenge this past school year: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Looking for Alaska, The Most Dangerous Game (short story), The Kite Runner, Fallen Angels, Stuck in Neutral, The Glass Castle: A Memoir.
