Assistant Professor of Elementary Education/CAEP Coordinator
I am Betty Liverman, Assistant Professor and CAEP Coordinator in the Department of Education at Shaw University. It is a pleasure and an honor to be able to prepare you for the Praxis exam. Teaching and learning has always been a passion. I enjoy watching others grow and learn. From East Carolina University, I received a Bachelor's Degree (1987) in Theatre Arts with concentration in Broadcasting Communications and K-12 Dance certification. In 2004, I received a Elementary Education Master's Degree from Elon University and later earned K-6 Elementary Education Certification. From Campbell University, I earned a K-12 School Administration certification. I believe that every child deserves a highly qualified teacher and I am committed to creating environments in which teaching and learning takes center stage. It is my experiences as a teacher, an assistant principal and school principal that will lead the efforts to creating teachers that are highly qualified and prepared to facilitate instruction in a 21st century classroom.
