La Befana, The old woman who delivers presents on Epiphany on January 6 is more popular than babbo natale. Babbo natale is basically a skinny Santa clause and he comes December 25 and he brings presents too. They start to decorate on December 8. People start to decorate the streets with trees and lights. They put nativity scenes in churches and plazas. In Italy it is the coolest times of the year, they have six hours of sun every day.
