Summer Reading Program 2016

Waterford Public Library

Big image

The Summer Reading Program is open to children entering pre-k through sixth grade. Participants agree to try and read (or be read to) for 12.5 hours over the course of the summer (this is equal to 50 fifteen minute time blocks). For every half hour read, the child will get a piece to add to our hamster track, as well as a free book to keep, and a prize from our prize box. Children who complete the 12.5 hours by the last day of summer reading will get bonus prizes and their name and picture on our 1st place reader wall.

All programs and events require signing up ahead of time, as space is limited. Talk to the Youth Service Librarian, Liz, by stopping by the library or calling (518)237-0891 to sign up.
