Frederick Blanch visits the Algona Public Library
Minnesota author Frederick Blanch will be at the Algona Public Library reading from his latest book Last Words. This book is a "witty, charming, sad, and hilarious account of the authors trials, travels, and travails". Many of the book's stories are based on the author's youth growing up during the Great Depression in the small farming community of Claremont, Minnesota. Last Words has been nominated for the prestigious Minnesota Book Awards and the long-time author has been characterized as "Minnesota's Mark Twain of Non-Fiction."
