PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Hello Aitken families,
As we look ahead to next week which includes cool temperatures and possible inclement weather, please remember to send your child with winter weather gear (such as boots, gloves and hats) to ensure that they can enjoy outdoor recess.
Please see important parent reminders below:
- School starts at 8:45. Drop off prior to this time is not recommended as your child will not be supervised by school staff prior to 8:45. In addition, the school day ends at 3:05, and no supervision is available after that time.
- All vehicles must refrain from idling outside of the school during student pick-up and drop-off.
- Please do not arrive for drop-off or pick-up until 8:45 & 2:45 respectively.
- If your child has a change in their dismissal status (i.e. taking the bus and is not going to Champions), please notify the Main Office no later than 11:00 to ensure that proper arrangements are made with the Main Office.
- Please yield to our pedestrians when picking up and dropping off your child, and remember to drive slowly as you traverse the back of the school.
- If you wish to pick up your child in person, you have the option of parking your vehicle. When parking, please ensure that your vehicle is in a designated & legal parking spot.
- Only certified service animals are allowed on the Aitken property. If you have any questions, please contact the main office at Aitken.
- Please refrain from having your child bring in personal items to school that could be lost or damaged (i.e. sports equipment (including balls), sentimental items, Pokemon cards, electronics, including, but not limited to, smart watches, etc).
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out anytime.

LAP 5
Yoshi was JUST sabotaged 3 days ago but quickly took back the lead with a golden mushroom. Everyone look out for Peach because she is also making her way back to the top while dropping multiple banana peels. Bowser took a few hits from the piranha plants and is now in third. Toad is still hanging on by using his saved stars. Mario was hit by all players with a few blue spiny shells which brought him down from 1st BUT it wasn't enough for luigi to pass. Currently all players have pulled into the pit for a refuel and new tires to take on the FINAL lap on Monday. IT IS STILL ANYONE'S RACE! Good luck to all players!!
