Midterm Grades
The midterm grades are available to view for students in third through eighth grade. When you are viewing the school website, find the parents tab and click on the school portal. Then enter your username and password. Next, choose your child(ren)'s name and the student progress report. When looking at the subjects you are welcome to choose each subject to see the student's individual grades and assignments in that class. Do not hesitate to contact the classroom teacher with any questions you have.

Save The Date - Picture Day
Picture Day - Thursday, September 29th
For picture day students are expected to dress up. Students may wear nice jeans. Shorts may be worn, but may not be sport-style shorts or tight-fitting. Girls may wear flats; no sandals are allowed. If they have PE they will need to bring tennis shoes. Dresses and skirts may not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bare shoulders are not allowed unless a sweater or jacket is worn. Girls should wear shorts under their dress or skirt if they have PE or if desired for recess. Students will not be allowed to change clothes after their pictures. Assessment Results
Included in your child's Friday Folder this week you will find several standardized assessment results. The classroom teacher will review these scores with you at our Parent Teacher Conferences in October. If you have any questions about these results prior to conferences, please contact your child's homeroom teacher. Example reports are linked below to aid in interpreting the results.

Substitute Teachers Needed
Good Shepherd is currently looking for substitute teachers. If you know of anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher please contact the office on how to obtain state certification.

Student Opt-Out

Notes from the Nurse
• Stuffy nose, runny nose, or sneezing
• Itchy or red eyes
• Sore throat, or itchy throat or ears
• Waking up at night or having trouble sleeping, which can lead to feeling tired or having trouble concentrating during the day.
If you know your child has seasonal allergies, please ensure that they are taking their medication as prescribed by the student’s doctor. If your child is having any of the above symptoms, please consider seasonal allergies. You may want to ask your child’s pediatrician if an antihistamine would be beneficial for them.
