Elements of fiction.
Cheyanne carris.
Character
Luke Garner- He is a twelve year-old boy with pale skin and a fragile looking body. He spends his life hiding because he is the third and forbidden child in the Garner family.
Jennifer “Jen” Talbot- This is another third child in the neighborhood that Luke discovers and becomes friends with. Her father works at the Population Police Headquarters and often tries to sabotage their plans and provide children with fake identification cards.
Setting.
The setting is the environment in which a story or event takes place. Setting can include specific information about time and place.
The setting in Luke's house is probably where this story mostly take place but it also take splace in jens house.
The setting is important because it adds to the story's realism. The setting is similiar to many American towns and helps the reader identify the themes of the novel.
Plot.
The plot is about a world where there isn't enough food for everyone. So a law is made: you can only have two children per household. But parents still have more children, and they keep them locked away all their lives. If they get caught, the child gets shot, and the parents go to prison for life.
Theme.
Theme is the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person's thoughts, or an exhibition; a topic.
The first theme of the story is to stand up for what you believe in.
The second theme of this story is survival. The Theme Of Among The Hidden Little summary of the book Survival Luke has to deal with survival because he cant be seen by anyone. He can't be seen by anyone so he stays in the attic and eats dinner on the stairs.Mood/Tone
Mood is- inducing or suggestive of a particular feeling or state of mind.
Tone is-the general character or attitude of a place, piece of writing, situation, etc.
In this story, the mood/tone would be like sad, and that one word that's like mysterious.
Point of veiw.
Point of veiw is- a particular attitude or way of considering a matter. Who is telling the story.
Among the Hidden's point of view is told in 3rd person. I can prove this because if you look at the very first page, the first sentence says:" He saw the first tree shudder and fall, far off in the distance." That is third person narration.
If the book was told in first person and was told by Luke you would be able to listen to Luke talk about how it felt to be the third child and to have to hide all the time, or if it was told by Matthew or Mark you would be able to hear about what happened at school and how they could not talk about Luke around other people, and how they got to play outside all the time. I would personally really enjoy this book if it were told in first person and by Luke.
