It is this time of year that we are able to slow down and pause, and think about what we are grateful for. Here at school, we are thankful for our vibrant SHMS community, and all of the hard work our students, teachers, parents, and Home and School Association have put forth that have helped us successfully navigate through the first quarter of the school year. We have accomplished so much in these first two and a half months of school, and it should be celebrated!

This past week, the 8th grade team successfully held the first SHMS Volleyball night since November of 2019. The event was historically a student kick off event for fundraising for the 8th grade service project, and this year we resumed the tradition and raised an additional $1200 for Kisses for Kyle. A big thank you to Mr. Mosser, our 8th grade PE teacher, for helping to organize and run the event, as well as the teachers and parent reps that helped ref, coach, sell concessions, and supervise the evening. It was a great success and one that we were happy to resume!

A reminder that middle school students will be dismissed early at 11:05 on Monday November 21st, and Tuesday November 22nd. School is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday starting Wednesday, November 23rd.

There will be an extended rehearsal for 6th Grade Orchestra on Monday 11/28 from 11:05-1:30. Busses will run on the "5:00 Activity Bus schedule". Click here for the bus runs!

Attire this year is Concert Black! Black dress, blouses or dress shirts with black dress pants, skirts and shoes.
