The Tiger Parent Newsletter
Week of December 11-15
Hi Tiger Families!
I hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the warmer weather. Last week was full of excitement! Thursday night students rode the Timberline Dads' Club holiday float in the Grapevine Parade of Lights. WOW! The kids -and I!! - loved showing off the pride we have in our school and spreading holiday cheer. Remember that next year, if you help get the float ready, your child can ride and be part of the parade!
We have many exciting things coming up soon! December 20th we kick off our class parties day with our Tiger Holiday Sing-a-long at 8:10. We'd love for you to join your child for this festivity as well as their party! Your child's teacher sent home party times and information Friday. Then December 14th at 6:30 we have our Timberline Holiday Music Program. Even if your child isn't singing, bring the family and come anyway! It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
Finally remember that Thursday, December 21st is an early release day. All elementary students are dismissed at 11:45.
Thank you for being the wonderful family community you are...and for sharing your child with us every day!
Proud to be your principal,
Ms. Ingram

Early Pickup Reminders
As we move closer to Christmas Break, we know that you may be scheduling trips and appointments.
Please keep in mind that early release (prior to 2:30) of your student(s) is reserved for emergencies or doctors appointments. Students will need to turn in a doctor's note, to the office or their teacher, when they return to school the next day.
School Communication
Every Friday you should have received any newsletters, flyers, etc. from your classroom teacher. We want to make sure communication is making it home to you on the same day! We hope this makes it easier on you.
Pancake Breakfast with Santa + Holiday Shop
This Saturday is our annual FREE Pancake Breakfast and Holiday Shop. Come enjoy a meal with your neighbors and friends, and get some of your holiday shopping done in one visit. Families can also visit with Santa, and share their holiday wishes with the man in charge!
Saturday, December 16 from 9-12pm

We hope to see you there!

Ride Change, Doctor's Appointments and Emergency Care for Late Pickups
The school will follow the direction you provided about how your child gets home each day. If there is a change to this, you must notify the office in one of the following ways:
Send a written note with your child with details for how he or she will get home that day.
Email maria.reyes@gcisd.net with details for how you child will be picked up prior to 2:00 p.m.
Call the office 817-251-5770 prior to 2:00 p.m.
Changes cannot be made by text messages or calls to teachers. Teachers are working with your children during the school day and we can’t ensure that information will get to the office.
If your child has a doctor's appointment that requires leaving school early:
- Please notify the office the day before the appointment so the office has time to prepare necessary checkout for you.
- Pick up your child prior to 2:30 for early release. Because of the size of our school, we are not able to process early pickups after this time. This is a shared policy across GCISD elementary campuses.
- Send a doctor's note in with your child the following day so that we are able to excuse the partial absence.
If you have an emergency and are not able to pick up your child(ren) by 3:20:
- Your child(ren) will be taken to KidzU for supervision at which time an emergency care fee is charged.
- KidzU is located at the Timberline Annex, across from the LAC.
- Unless there are unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, our car rider dismissal line is cleared by 3:20.
- If possible, please call the office to alert us of the emergency.
