School Wide Project Celebrates Longfellow Students!
Inspired by traditional quilts, Longfellow K-5 students will contribute a paper quilt square as part of a giant display that celebrates our individuality and how we all come together to support one another at Longfellow.
In the Art Room, Students are creating individual circles that show their unique traits. The circles will be cut into quarters that will be rearranged onto a square. In addition to learning about radial symmetry and creating symbols, we are also reviewing some basic geometry concepts.
Be on the look out for our fabulous display!

This is my 15th year of teaching art at Longfellow. I have 2 daughters currently in 3rd and 5th Grade at Longfellow and am grateful to be a part of our amazing team! I welcome all in the art room and love chatting with parents and collaborating on projects. Also, feel free to send in any old materials that you think we might find useful- paper towel tubes, yarn, beads, etc.. We love the challenge of finding ways to up-cycle in the Art Room!
