Newsletter for the Week of August 8th
School starts in a little over one week! All of our teachers will be back on duty and preparing for a successful 2022-23 school year starting Monday, August 8th. Please read below to find important information about the first day of school, bell schedules, as well as student pick-up and drop-off locations.
We are looking forward to the opportunity to educate your student and can't wait to meet him/her on the 17th!

What if I need a Schedule Change?
Please refer to our schedule change policy if you feel that you need a schedule change. You can find the schedule change policy by clicking the link below.
Students will have ONE opportunity to change a core class on their schedule from August 2nd through the first full week of school ending on August 26th. The one opportunity includes any schedule changes requested on the day you pick up your schedule.
What if I Still Haven't Completed Online Verification of Enrollment?
Online Student Verification is still open and can be found by logging in to your Skyward Family Access account. (If you need assistance logging in to Skyward Family Access, please click here for video instructions.)
Upon completion of each step, click on the box: "Complete Step # and move to Step #."

Online verification is not COMPLETE until you click "Submit 2022 - 2023 Online Student Verification" on the last step of the process. Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation.
Student Verification must be submitted for each student in your family. Once you have successfully submitted one Online Verification, please return to the "Online Student Verification" tab to begin verification for any other students in your family.

Senior Parking Spot Painting
Seniors who paid to paint their parking space must have their drawing approved by a front office staff member and turn in a signed permission slip from their parents (see permission slip and paint form link below). Paint days for seniors will be Thursday and Friday, August 11th and 12th (these are the days we can guarantee the parking lot will be free of other vehicles).
Parking sticker purchase and painting are Non-Refundable. Parking stickers will be held until painting is complete.

First Day of School Bell Schedule, Wednesday, August 17th
Bells will ring to move students to their Black Day 1st period class 8:35. Students will only go to Black Day classes on the 1st day of school. Students need to check their Black and Red Day lunch schedules and attend the Black Day lunch period on the 1st day of school. Thursday, August 19th, students will go to Red Day classes and Red Day lunch period.
There will be no tutorials the first week of school
8:40-10:20 - Black 1 Class
10:25-11:55 - Black 2 Class
12:00-2:10 - Black 3 Class

Senior tributes are a way for parents to recognize and support their Class of 2023 Seniors. These tributes are published in the annual Fall Sports Program. Senior Tributes are available to ALL Lubbock-Cooper Class of 2023 Seniors and are not limited to athletes. Please use the link below to get your tribute submitted!
