Weekly Bulletin - Week of Dec. 7th

Weekly Principal's Note:

Hello, All.

Even though (as a school) we are preparing for Christmas and heading towards the break, Stephanie and I have also been very busy working on the plans for next year. With budgets, tuition rates, enrollment, marketing, staffing, program/instructional needs, facilities/construction, and many other issues on the plate, much of my time has been consumed by the planning. Because of this, I have not been as present in the classrooms and available throughout the school. To allow for this, I have asked Amparo to handle more of the day to day instructional/programming support needs. This will be more in keeping with her planned role for next year, as she steps out of the classroom and into a greater administrative role. I am still here to support you in any way that I can, but as I get busier with business side of things and preparations for next year, I want to ensure that everything is running smoothly and nothing is slipping through the cracks. So, please stay tuned with more updates from Amparo and feel free to ask either of us, if you need anything.

Thank you and have a fantastic week!

Are Your Rooms Ready for Thursday???

As we will be hosting several big donors and potential donors for the Guadalupe Mass on Thursday, we need to make sure that the rooms/building looks SPECTACULAR!! So, please be certain that your rooms are all spic n span, free from any clutter, decorated for Christmas (including Advent wreaths), and looking spiffy. Also, if you need to swap out or decorate any of the bulletin boards in the hallway or put up any amazing student work samples, please make sure this is done by Wednesday afternoon (at the latest). Ericka and crew will be decorating the auditorium and Amy Canche and some other parents will be in charge of creating a little Bethlehem on the stage. I can't wait to see our school transformed into a Christmas Wonderland!

    Last Call for Fulcrum!!

Last Friday was the deadline for Fulcrum Tuition Assistance for next year (2016-17). Parents flooded the office last week, but I am sure there are still families who did not get this done. Can you please run the following in your weekly newsletter to give them one last chance?

Fulcrum Tuition Assistance - Did you Miss the Deadline?

If you have not yet filed an application for tuition assistance for the 2016-17 school year (grades K - 8 only), please contact Berenice (253.272.7012 or at the front desk IMMEDIATELY. The deadline was Friday, Dec. 4th. This application is necessary in order for families to receive ANY financial assistance from Fulcrum or Holy Rosary next school year.

    Christmas Program Info!

Can you also include the information on costumes for the children in your grade in your weekly newsletter? Check out Amparo's SMORE for more info:

    Uniforms...Thank You!

Thank you for being diligent about checking on the kids' uniforms. It is easy to start letting things slide and it is good to remind parents about our dress code. As all students should have sweaters (especially for Mass days), the kids shouldn't need to wear their coats/sweatshirts in class. I want to make sure that, especially as we head into the time of year where we are having more tours, donors, and special guests visiting the school, the kids are looking sharp. Thank you for your help with this!!
