If students do stay after school they need to be under the supervision of an instructor, coach, or other approved adult. Students not following these parameters will be directed to leave.
Also, please note that we do have athletic events coming up and the doors to those events will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the first contest that evening. Please plan accordingly for entrance to our athletic contests.

Scheduling for 2022-2023
It's that time of year again....time to begin the scheduling process for the 2022-23 school year. Class meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, January 5th to walk through the process. Please talk with your student about the courses they are selecting and how they fit into their future career path.
Students will need to complete the Course Request Worksheet (on paper) and turn into the Guidance Office, as well as enter their courses into the Infinite Campus Portal (online).
The scheduling portal will close on Friday, January 21st. Please make sure courses are entered by this deadline. If your student has signed up with their counselor and they are not seen prior to the 21st, please have your student enter their courses anyway and then counselors will make any changes needed when we meet with your student.
You can view the scheduling timeline and directions here.
Thank you!

Technology
Attention 9th, 11th and 12th Grade Students:
We are in the process of switching over to a new Mobile Device Management system this year. Every iPad needs to make this switch and it is now your turn. We saved the best for last!
In order to make this switch, your iPad will need to be completely wiped. We are hoping you can help us out by initiating the process for us. In return, we will offer you the opportunity to choose when it happens.
Please be aware that you will lose anything that is not saved to the cloud or transferred to your computer. Spend some time prior to wiping your device to ensure you have saved what you need.
Check your email (or see below) for instructions on how to do it.

SCHOOL ZONE SAFETY TIPS
Unintentional pedestrian injuries are the fifth leading cause of injury-related death in the United States for children ages 5 to 19. Teenagers are now at greatest risk. Teens have a death rate twice that of younger children and account for half of all child pedestrian deaths.
Drivers, please watch out for students near school zones. Students, pay attention when crossing roads and make eye contact with driver before crossing. Keep your head up and phones down.
Thank you for keeping our Wildcats SAFE!
Travel Opportunity
Enrollment for our 2023 FUTURES tour to England, Ireland and Scotland is still OPEN! We are still taking applications for any students who have a passion for cultural and historical travel. Some of the sites students will explore are the bustling city of London, The Tower of London tour, Shakespeare County and Shakespeare's birthplace. We will tour Hadrian's Wall, Edinburgh Ghost Walk and castle tour. From Scotland, we will fly over to Dublin for a city tour and then travel south to Killarney to visit such sites as Blarney Castle, Rock of Cashel and the Ring of Kerry excursion. Students will also have the chance to experience local cuisines and cultural expeditions throughout our tour.
Worldstrides International offers additional payment plans and scholarships to assist travelers and their families. Feel free to visit the website for more details of those payment/fundraising options. If you would like to receive more information about this program, please fill out this survey: NEW survey to receive updated information)
We want to make this tour possible for any student who is interested. Feel free to email Amber Knauf at knaufa@waylandunion.org if you have any questions.
