Girls Track Finishes Third At Twenty Team Early Bird Invitational

Congratulations to Girls Track on their strong performance at the Festus Early Bird Invitational. The meet had 20 of the top teams from the area competing on the girls side. Our Lady Vikings finished the day in third place in their first meet of the season. Below you can find some of the top performers from the day. It was a very great start to the season for our ladies.

Boys Tennis Starts Season 2-0

Congratulations to Boys Tennis on starting the season 2-0. Last week the Vikings earn wins over FHN (8-1) and FZW (8-1) as they kicked off the first week of the season. Our road warriors will be in action again this week as they travel to Troy and Timberland.

Our very own FCCLA and DECA Chapters had strong performances at their state competitions recently. You will not want to miss next week's Viking Insider as we highlight the young men and women that will be representing Francis Howell at the national level.

Mikayla Hardy Named 1st Team Academic All-American

Congratulations to Mikayla Hardy for being one of only eight girls volleyball players in the country to earn 1st Team Academic All-American honors by prepvolleyball.com Mikayla currently holds an over 4.8 GPA and will be attending the University of Chicago in the fall to further her education and volleyball career. Congratulations to Mikayla for her success on the court and in the classroom.

Maddi Leigh Recognized For Two Great Honors

Maddi Leigh has certainly had a great senior year as a student-athlete at Howell. The past two weeks sh has been recognized for two outstanding achievements. Maddi was recognized for earning 1st Team All-Metro honors from the St. Louis Track Club. She was also named the St. Charles County Amateur Sports HOF Outstanding Senior Athlete at their banquet last week. Not only has Maddi Had success in track and cross country but she also holds an over 4.2 GPA in the classroom. Congratulations to Maddi on these great honors.

Drumline Earns Fourth Place Finish At WGI Regionals

Congratulations to the Howell Winter Drumline for capturing 4th place in the Finals of the WGI Mid-West Regional at Western Kentucky University. Their performance of "Broken" has been a success this season. Congratulations to Drumline on another strong performance.

FHSD Board Of Education Recognizes Golden Girls

The Francis Howell School District Board of Education recognized our very own State Champion Golden Girls at the March 16th Board Meeting. This is the second time in three years that the GG's have earned a State Championship. Howell Choir Collaborates With Willard High School

The Howell Choirs continue to build on their strong success by reaching out and adding opportunities to grow the program. Recently they collaborated with the very talented Willard High School Choir. The opportunity allowed Howell Choir members to work with other talented musicians and singers to fine tune their skills. To learn more about Howell Choir please contact Mrs. Fitzpatrick.

Golden Girls To Hold Easter Egg Flashlight Hunt This Friday

You will not want to miss the First Annual Golden Girls Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 31st inside the Stadium at Howell. Bring a flashlight and hunt for the eggs filled with prizes! Food and drinks for purchase and face painting for the kids. The event will be fun for the entire family! Prizes will vary based on the age groups including gift certificates from local businesses, candy, a Kindle Fire, and more! The cost is just $5 per hunter.

Egg hunt times are based on the age of the participant and can be found below:

*Ages 1-4th grade.....7:30 PM
*5th-8th grade...........8:00 PM
*9th-12th grade.........8:30 PM

Gates open at 6:30 PM
