Principal's Message

Hello Families,

I am incredibly proud of our Ability Awareness lessons that are being presented during the month of October. Students are learning to take the perspective of others and celebrate all friends for their strengths and abilities. Please ask your students about what they have learned and how we treat others that seem different to us.

Last Friday, students had the opportunity to watch Wheelchair Basketball. What an incredible sport! I had the privilege of playing with the team and it was a lot of work - much harder than it looks!!

I am honored to serve in a school where we include all children with all abilities and celebrate every individual for what they can do.

Most sincerely,

Mrs. Morton

2021 Parent Conferences

We are excited to connect with our families during Parent Conferences (November 16-19, 2021). We are offering in-person conferences or virtual ones. Teachers will be reaching out to parents to check in on preferences and if Spanish interpretation is needed.

If you are joining us in person for the conference, please remember that all parents will be required to wear face masks during the meetings in-person regardless of vaccination status. (*Note: parents do not need to show vaccination status or negative COVID test for a one time visit for parent conferences). If parents/guardians are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to someone with a positive COVID test result, please connect with your teacher so that alternative plans can be made.

During Parent Conferences (November 16-19, 2021), we will be having minimum days. School will be dismissed at 12:51 with Kinder dismissal at 12:45.

Veteran's Day - November 11, 2021

We will be honoring our Veterans on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2021. School will not be in session and will resume on November 12, 2021.

Parents: Please complete Income Verification Form

All school districts in California are required to submit an annual notification of students who need additional support. This year, more than ever before, we want to make sure that all families are able to provide information so that we may continue to expand support for students during this challenging time. The income verification form is strictly confidential and will only be used to submit the annual application for school funding. While it is not our intent to ask personal income questions, our district wide funding depends largely on parents responding to this request. In fact, over 35,000 meals distributed over the past four months and the 14,000 computer devices distributed were the result of this funding from the state and federal level. What’s more, our district qualified for more than a million dollars in additional funding thanks to parents assisting us to complete this form.

In the recent months, many people have lost their jobs or dramatically reduced their work hours, and that has resulted in a dramatic reduction in their annual income. Our school district is ready and prepared to support students from these families in a variety of ways, including breakfast and lunch, counseling, family engagement support, technology and internet access, nursing support, and many, many other areas. Please assist us by providing this valuable information so that we may maximize the state and federal funding for students.

Please complete the online form prior to October 30th, by going to

  • PTA/ELAC/SSC/Foundation parents may be on campus to perform school business
